CIUT Spring Fundraising Campaign!

Hi friends,

Just reminding you that Dreaming in Stereo will be holding its Spring Fundraising Drive on May 10 at 5pm! Don’t forget to tune in and support the program, we need your help to continue to stay on the air.

I would like you to show how much you appreciate and value Dreaming in Stereo by making a financial donation to help CIUT-FM reach its fundraising goal of $100,000.00 Please call 416–946-7800 or toll free 1-888-204-8976.  You may also donate online at www.ciut.fm   

All the donations go to the day-to-day functioning costs of CIUT 89.5 FM, a listener-supported radio station and not for profit registered charitable organization.

CIUT has a few grand prizes as usual including a trip to Croatia! We simply need to reach our goal of $100,000 for the campaign so call in or go online to donate!

A few things to add, the membership donation level is $89.5 with added value of a membership card for all donors, which will include many discounts to businesses around the city. Amazing value! For $120 + you also receive the new CIUT t-shirt!Although for $25 or more donations you will still receive the usual tax receipt. Just thought I would mention this!

Usually, we have two fundraising drives per year to raise money to keep the radio station operational…. things like paying the bills; upkeep and maintenance of the studios, offices, and transmitter site; workshops for volunteers and students; etc.

But this year was a bit different: we had a transmitter crisis right before the spring campaign. On Sunday, April 6th the transmitter we had been using since the stations inception in 1986 literally quit working. All of the money raised during the spring campaign was allocated towards the purchase of a new transmitter to keep us on the air. That money also went towards paying the engineers who installed it, shipping costs, and the rental of the temporary transmitter.

Now, we have one membership drive to accomplish what we normally do in two: raise money to keep the radio station operational!

We need your support to keep broadcasting quality radio. To do this we need new equipment to support our volunteer programmers and to train future volunteers of the station. Your contributions will no doubt go towards helping further the development of this radio station.

Dreaming in Stereo will be holding its 11th Membership Drive this Firday,  the show is over 5 years old in its current format! Don’t forget to tune in and support the program. And in addition to the awesome CIUT prize draws that you will be entered into here is what you can win:

During the Membership Campaign we will be asking for your donations to CIUT 89.5fm. The show goal is a modest 20 MEMBERS. (Anyone that donates $25 or more becomes a MEMBER of CIUT).
